Utilitarian post-punk trio OMNI release new single ‘INTL Waters’ a sharp, sophisticated track harpooning the mega-rich and their floating tax havens. Those who are familiar with OMNI will recognise their signature watertight bass and drums that drive the track forwards, their wiry and staccato guitar leads now complemented by piano flourishes that add a newfound degree of elegance and mystery. The band describe the track as something of a “left turn” and in regards to the lyrics add  “the sadness of villains as they float around between imaginary borders seemed interesting and amusing to minimise.” As the song draws to a close the band hoist anchor and haul ass into an intense and electrifying finale, something which must not be missed when they bring their live show to UK venues this April. To tide you over in the meantime, OMNI’s fourth album ‘Souvenir’ releases Feb 16 via Sub-Pop. -Adam Brown
